After completing his one year mission to help raise funds and support for the
firefighters of New York City's Engine Company 55, Joe Cantafio was given the
opportunity to go to the frontlines and perform for our brave men and women
serving in Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Djibouti, Bahrain,
and Iraq.
As plans were being made for a return trip to the Middle East, Joe was informed
by Armed Forces Entertainment that all tours were being cancelled due to the
increase in the insurgent attacks throughout the region. Not wanting to
simply sit back and wait, Joe and Jim VanNatta of Patriot Entertainment started
to put together a domestic tour of military bases across the country.
As the We'll Take It From Here World Tour started to take shape, Joe's message
of support for the First Responders, and the troops that are carrying on with
the fight, was summed up with the image of the Firefighter passing the colors to
the Warrior.
This sketch was conceived by Ohio math teacher Tom Hernan, a nd
drawn by Ohio art teacher Jeff Grier. Grier's original oil painting is now
proudly displayed at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Joe was so moved by
this image that he displayed it in his first Middle East trip, and in fact, one
soldier even had it tattooed on his upper arm.
Click on the small picture on the left to download a copy of our tour document,
that offers a brief history of Joe's incredible mission, and information about
the upcoming return trip to the Middle East, and the 80 base domestic tour that
follows. You will also learn about the amazing message that Joe and the
band will be delivering to our brave men and women around the world.
